My daughter loves reading, singing, and moving with this book! definitely her current favorite. I even brought it to her daycare one day a read/sing/danced it out to her daycare friends. It was a hit!HINT: if your child loves it and gets excited as much as mine does to it don't try reading this book before bed!

My 2 year old niece enjoy listening to the story with actions to Clap, Stomp, Shake to exercise along with Spunky Little Monkey. Fun story that engages her attention and imagination.

In continuation of my goal to curate a library both for myself and for my future children, I picked up this book from the 2017 Goodreads Choice Awards List.But despite the happy, cute colors this book wasn't one of my favorites. Overall, even though it's a short read I found the book to be repetitive and annoying. This is not a book I would enjoy reading to a desperate toddler more than twice. So it doesn't really fit my requirements for a good kid's lit book.I also didn't like that this book requires the reader and kid to get up and move. When I'm reading a book I want to sit and enjoy it. When I want to exercise or have a kid exercise, then I'd choose a different avenue of encouragement. Overall I didn't hate the book, I just found it wasn't for me. I gave it three stars on Goodreads.
