This large book has the complete tabs for the first three Eagles Albums, the first self titled, Desperado, and On The Border. This is when the band still had the strong country influence of Bernie Leadon and the rock influenced guitar of Glenn Frey, with the addition of Don Felder playing slide on Good Day in Hell, which is a song from the On the Border Album. There are no songs that Joe Walsh played on. I would rate this as a good tab book and the songs are done very accurately, I noticed that another reviewer said that not all the songs are done accurately and mentioned Peacefull Easy Feeling, I have seen numerous Tabs for that song in different tab books and that song specifically is very difficult to play, I think only Bernie Leadon himself knows the studio version of it but this will get you extremely close. I have also seen the already Gone solo tabbed numerous ways. I think all Tab books are like that, its not like the guitarists proofread them but that would be nice. This will get you playing like The Eagles but you have to put the time in.
If you're looking to learn the solo's correct, this is not the book. I hope vol. 2 is an improvement. I bought this book to learn some of the solo's hopefully correct after reading the cover which states "Includes Complete Solos". Some solo's start out right and then go into left field somewhere. I really wanted to learn the solo to peaceful easy feeling but not with this tab. However all of the chords seem to be accurrate. After about 3 songs I threw the book down. For me personally it was "Wasted Time".
Some song will float in your head for many minutes after it is done. When you hear the first several bars of music - at first you may not know the name of the song (or who sang it), but some where from deep inside of you the words come to your mouth and you sing along with the radio. The Eagles is one of those groups that had songs you will find yourself doing just that.
